Taken from their new Witchita Recordings album of the same name, Hello Sadness does that rare thing of still managing to be a chirpy and upbeat tune even though its entirely about how much love hurts…

If not displayed in the adorable melodies and spot on harmonies then at least the video, directed by Casey Raymond and Ewan Jones Morris, gives us a good idea of how much love hurts. Viewing like one long torture scene, Los Campesinos! have clearly put themselves through some rather humiliating acts to get their point across, and it works. Good job.
