Chilly Gonzales Session (Daft Punk cover)
The self proclaimed ‘sad’ musical genius Chilly Gonzales performs an awesome take on Daft Punks ‘Something About Us’. Gonzales returns with his first official UK full length release since Solo Piano in 2006 with Ivory Tower. The new album is also companion to a feature film of the same name starring Tiga and Peaches as well as himself.
A Lily – OffBeat
Whilst on a jaunt to Brighton earlier this year we were lucky enough to sneak in on an afternoon rehearsal session with A Lily. Band members include James Vella and Oliver Newton (yndi halda) and Alastair Reid and Alexander Peterson (Crown On The Rats Orchestra). We managed to capture the band playing ‘The Sparrow In The Lemon Tree’, albeit without the Cello and Harp sections (watch this space!).
