After the best part of a decade, Big Scary Monsters Records, the little DIY label from Oxford, hits three figures today, Tuesday 7th September with the release of ‘Partied Hard’, a DVD/CD double pack celebrating the wonderful bands who have passed through their doors since it’s 2001 inception.

A year on from the release of latest album, ‘Brother’s Blood’, and his brilliant live performances on tour here in the UK with Brand New and Manchester Orchestra, Kevin Devine is back with a new EP.

Combining fast, fun energy with loops, synths, and lush melodies, Cornwall based band Tall Ships have been causing a bit of a stir. Previously they have been featured on NME daily download and Big Scary Monsters’ demo of the week. They gave an expectant crowd a great set at Bardens Boudoir recently. Tall Ships Debut EP was released by Blood and Biscuits on 15th February 2010 and promptly sold out before it was released. We’re glad to say more copies are now available!

Tellison have been a MySpace Recommended Artist twice. They’ve released three sold out 7″ singles on Gravity DIP, New Slang and Banquet Records and feature on BSM’s 10 collection.
